![]() ![]() The Mount Vernon SchoolĮstablished in 1972 and located in Sandy Springs, Mount Vernon inspires innovation in preschool through 12th grade. The school’s mission is to unite with home and church to prepare servant-leaders to honor God, love others, and walk in truth. Mount Paran Christian School is a PreK3-12th grade private Christian, non-denominational, college-preparatory school committed to excellence in academics, award-winning arts and championship athletics. The School serves students from 6 months through 12th grade, and its high school has been named one of the top Catholic high schools in the country. Holy Spirit Preparatory School is a young, accomplished institution, and one of the few independent Catholic schools in the Atlanta metro area. Galloway students in Pre-K through 12th grade confidently embrace challenges while developing the knowledge, skills, and cultural competence to thrive in their chosen pathways. Not only DWA encouraged me to work hard but also helped me prepare for University.Located in Chastain Park, The Galloway School is an independent day school community where learning is joyful, individuals are valued, and self-discovery is encouraged. DWA encouraged me to work hard towards my goals and helped me understand that hard work does pay off at the end. Now, I am focussing on completing my business degree and graduate in Spring 2018 then continue to work as Project Coordinator for a start up company. At the same time when I was OCVP Logistics for AIESEC, I was also VP Events for AMIO. I was a director for 2 terms in AIESEC then I joined the OC (Organizing Committee) team to organize a Western Regional Conference in 2016 where I was OCVP Logistics. ![]() Additionally, I also took on several executive positions in two student clubs, AIESEC (an international non-for-profit student organization) and AMIO (Management Information and Operations Organization). Throughout my university years, I have met many incredible people in the business world and also long term friends. I’m in my last year of my business degree majoring in Operations Management. Here’s a little update since I’ve graduated DWA in 2013. They love the DWA experience and hate being picked up early and count down the days on summer vacation until they can go back to school! ![]() Our family is very happy with our choice to join DWA. Where else will you find a high school student taking time to talk to an elementary student? The students are polite, well-mannered and are always looking at ways to help in the local community. The teachers and administration work hard to create a culture of academic achievement, personal improvement, mutual respect for differing views and sense of community. ![]() I don’t think it is normal to have direct email contact with your teachers but at DWA there is regular two way communication about both individual students and the school as a whole. I cannot stress enough how much these teachers really do care about helping develop the students both from an academic and personal development perspective. In supporting the student’s pursuit of academic achievement, the school regularly assigns homework and all grades have midterm and final exams preparing the students for success in their post secondary education and their eventual careers. The small class sizes at DWA allows for significant one on one time with each student and encourages student participation in the classroom. Our children are receiving a great academic education particularly in the core subjects of LA, math and science but also in two languages and the arts. A well rounded, academically focused education is critical to success in todays ever changing world and DWA provides that to our children. ![]()
